The dual-clutch hesitation I hated for 2 months finally clicked

I used to swear that dual-clutch gearboxes were jerky junk after driving a rental in Phoenix that bucked at every stoplight. Then my buddy let me drive his tuned GTI in stop-and-go traffic and told me to just trust the clutch engagement instead of babying the throttle. After one afternoon of keeping steady pressure on the gas, the shifts smoothed out completely and I realized I was the problem, not the tech. Anyone else find that driving style matters way more than the transmission itself once you commit to it?
