The guy at Advance Auto swore by the cheap torque wrench, he was right

Last Saturday I was replacing brake rotors on my 2014 Outback in the driveway and my old torque wrench was clicking way too early. Drove to the Advance Auto in Nashua and the counter guy told me to grab the $35 Pittsburgh one instead of the $180 Snap-on I was eyeballing. Figured he was just pushing what they had in stock, but he said the cheaper ones are fine as long as you reset them to zero when you're done. Tested it against my neighbor's digital unit on 5 different bolts and it was dead on every time. Anyone else had a cheap tool that just plain works?
