Tuesday's transmission service turned into a 9 hour mess over one filter

I took my 2012 F-150 to a shop in Columbus for a simple fluid and filter swap, and they handed it back with the pan bolt torqued too tight, cracking the housing. Spent the rest of the day chasing a slow drip down Route 23 and ended up paying another $180 for a used pan off a parts truck. Has anyone else dealt with shops that rush the basic jobs and cause bigger damage than the original fix?
