Got 4 quotes to ship my truck from Denver to Austin and the spread was $1,900
Two brokers quoted me $1,450 and $1,900 for the same open transport, and the third one wouldn't even put a number in writing until I gave him a deposit. The $1,450 guy then called me 48 hours before pickup saying the carrier needed another $300 or he'd drop me. Is this just how brokered shipping always goes, or did I pick the wrong three companies?
