Warning: a dispatcher in Reno told me to stop trusting the lowest quote, and it saved me $340
I was about to book a $790 door to door quote for my Civic from Reno to Denver when the dispatcher asked if I'd read the fine print on pickup windows. Turns out the cheap carrier had a 7 day window and would only drop at a terminal 40 miles out, so I ended up paying $1,130 for a 3 day window and a real address. Has anyone else gotten burned by a quote that looked great until the fees showed up?
