Our CRM migration last month was a total disaster
We spent over three months planning to move from HubSpot to Salesforce for our B2B sales team in Denver. The whole thing broke on go-live day when we found out our custom fields didn't map right. About 2000 leads just vanished into thin air and my boss was pacing around the office looking ready to fire someone. I spent three straight nights rebuilding the import with a contractor who charged us $150 an hour. The worst part? Our sales reps couldn't log any deals for a week and we lost track of at least 10 qualified prospects. Has anyone else dealt with a CRM migration that went completely sideways like this?

My friend's company tried migrating to Salesforce last year and their entire lead database got duplicated instead of merging. They ended up paying triple overtime to fix it before their quarterly reviews.

Triple overtime? That's brutal, yikes.

Yikes is right, triple overtime sounds like a nightmare. I mean, I once accidentally deleted an entire folder of client invoices and had to rebuild them over a weekend. Let's just say I learned the hard way that "undo" doesn't work on real life. Patricia's story about the lead database is giving me flashbacks to that. So yeah, maybe it's just me but I'll take a boring, uneventful data migration any day over that kind of chaos.
