Paid $2,400 for a CRM and hated it for 3 months, now I get it

I run a small landscaping outfit and thought we were too small for real software. Kept everything in a spreadsheet and my phone notes. Then we missed three follow ups in one week and lost a commercial contract worth about $8k a year. So I bit the bullet and paid $2,400 upfront for a year of one of those cloud CRMs with the fancy pipeline views. First month I wanted to throw my laptop in the pond. Too many fields, too many buttons, felt like I needed a degree to log a phone call. But I watched a few of their training webinars, spent a Saturday mapping out our actual steps from first call to final bid, and set up automations for the stuff I kept forgetting. Now I can see every quote sitting in limbo, and reminders pop up before I look like an idiot. The money hurt but losing that contract hurt worse. Has anyone else paid for a tool that felt like overkill until you forced yourself to set it up right?
