Switched our cleaning vendor after 4 no-show mornings, wish we did it sooner

Honestly, our old janitorial service kept sending a different crew every time and they ghosted us on four separate Tuesday mornings in a row. We finally switched to a local outfit out of Denver that uses one dedicated team for our office, not random subs. Ngl, the new crew costs about 18% more per month, but they show up at 6am sharp and actually restock the breakroom supplies without being asked. Has anyone else dealt with a vendor that can't keep a consistent schedule, and did you negotiate a penalty clause into the new contract?

The "random subs" thing is exactly what bit us, so yeah, we put a straight penalty clause in the new deal where any no-show costs them 25% off that month's invoice. It keeps them honest, and if they ghost you again, at least you're not paying full price for nothing.
