That vendor event in Atlanta back in 2019 changed how I price things

I was at this B2B expo at the Georgia World Congress Center, just walking around and bored. This guy from a small logistics firm gave me his whole pricing breakdown on a napkin. He was charging half what I was for similar services. Made me realize I had been marking stuff up way too high for years. Anyone else ever get a reality check from a random booth at a conference?

Funny enough that napkin pricing probably cost him more than it saved you in the long run.

@mark_chen62 you're not wrong. That guy probably spent an extra hour on the spreadsheet trying to figure out napkin math instead of just quoting a flat rate and moving on to the next job. Time is money, and he burned both sitting there penny pinching.
