Wasted $800 on a CRM platform before switching to something cheaper
I put $800 into a fancy CRM for my real estate leads, and it turned out to be overkill with features I never touched. What actually convinced me was a buddy letting me test his custom spreadsheet setup that did 90% of the same work for free. Has anyone else found a simple tool that handles client tracking without the bloat?

Wait, you dropped 800 bucks before even trying a spreadsheet?

Man I did almost the exact same thing last year with a property management software that cost me $600. My wife set up a Google Sheets tracker with a simple color code system for hot, warm, cold leads and it worked way better. The real eye opener was seeing how much time I wasted clicking through fancy menus compared to just typing in new client info. Did you end up customizing that buddy's spreadsheet or just using it as is?

Airtable did it for me. I spent maybe 30 bucks a month and built a simple lead tracker with a linked calendar view. It handles follow ups and property tags without all the dashboard clutter. Just takes an afternoon to set up your columns and you are good to go.
