Heard a guy at the hardware store trash his plastic shed, made me check mine
I was in the aisle grabbing shelf brackets when this older guy told his wife he'd never buy another resin shed after his cracked along the roof seam last winter. He said the snow load in our area just bent the whole frame, and now he's going back to wood or metal. That made me walk out and inspect my own 8x6 plastic unit from 3 summers ago. I found a small stress line near the door hinge that I hadn't noticed before. So I picked up a cheap roof support kit and some sealant, cost me about $35 total. Anyone else caught a hidden weak point on their plastic shed before it became a big problem?

You really think a $35 patch kit fixes a structural problem like that? A resin shed that cracked from snow load is telling you the plastic is getting brittle, and that's not going to get better with age. I'd rather spend a weekend reinforcing the frame with wood than slap sealant on a stress line and hope it holds.
