I spent a whole weekend deciding between a metal shed and a resin one, picked resin, and here's what happened

So my old wooden shed finally rotted out after like 10 years, the floor was basically compost. I went back and forth between metal and those resin plastic sheds for like three days straight. Kept reading that metal ones dent easy and rust if you scratch them, plus they get crazy hot inside during summer. Resin seemed flimsy when I looked at the boxes at Home Depot but actually once I put it together it's pretty solid. I went with a 7x7 foot resin one from Suncast, cost me about $380. The build took maybe 4 hours with a buddy helping. It's been through two rainstorms and a windy day so far, no issues. The floor is a little bouncy compared to wood but for my lawn stuff and some bikes it works fine. Anyone here have a metal one that held up better than people say?

Nah man I gotta disagree hard here lol. I got a metal shed three years ago and it's been a tank. Scratched it bad moving a wheelbarrow in and it never rusted, plus I just drilled a couple vents in the side and the heat isn't bad at all. That bouncy resin floor would drive me nuts honestly.

BRUH hold up you just drilled vents into the side of a metal shed?? Like just went at it with a drill and hoped for the best?? thats wild honestly lol. Props to you for being brave enough to do that because I would be terrified of messing up the whole thing or making it weaker. And the scratches never rusted?? okay I gotta admit that's pretty impressive for a metal shed. The heat thing still freaks me out though, like even with vents I'd be worried about stuff melting in there during summer. But hey if yours has been solid for three years then I guess I owe metal sheds an apology lol.
