I tracked every box I put in my shed and the number hit 47 before I stopped
Last summer I started writing down what I stored in my backyard shed just to keep track, and I hit 47 items before I lost count. Things like holiday decorations, extra tarps, and old plant pots added up way faster than I expected. I never realized how much space all that junk took until I saw the number on paper. It made me rethink what I actually need to keep and what can go. Has anyone else done a full inventory of their storage space and been shocked by the total?

And hey @nathankim, you're not wrong about the paint thing, but I actually found three cans that still had wet paint in them from five years ago. Maybe I should do a full count just to see if my junk mountain beats your screw collection.

Man, @nathankim I feel you on not wanting to know the truth about what's back there. I've got a pile in my garage that I'm pretty sure is holding up the wall, and I'm scared to touch it. But hey, at least your paint might still be usable, mine just turned into weird plastic chunks.

Wait, you actually wrote it all down instead of just staring at the pile and guessing like a normal person? I'd probably hit 47 just in mismatched screws and half-empty cans of paint that are definitely dry by now. Then again, maybe I don't want to know the truth about what's really back there.
