Just realized my sturdy plastic shed was a bad choice after 3 months of Texas heat
I bought a resin shed from Home Depot in April for $350, thinking it would beat a wooden one for moisture issues. By July the walls were warped and the door wouldn't shut right after a few 100 degree days. Has anyone else had luck with metal sheds holding up better in hot climates?

I bought a resin shed from Home Depot in April" - yeah that was your first mistake lol. Resin and plastic stuff just can't handle the UV down here. I had a similar issue with a plastic storage bench, it got all brittle and faded after like one summer. For sheds in Texas heat, you're honestly better off with metal but you gotta be picky. The cheap thin metal ones from Lowe's will rust and dent if a storm rolls through. Have you checked if the resin warped because of ground settling too? That could make the door issue worse even with a better material.

Man that plastic bench issue sounds frustrating, it really does feel like a waste of money when stuff falls apart that quick. We went through the same thing with a resin utility sink on our patio, it got chalky and brittle by the second summer even with a cover on it. The ground settling is a good point too, our slab shifted a bit and made the door on our plastic shed stick like crazy. Hope you find a decent metal one that holds up, the thicker galvanized options are worth hunting for even if they cost a bit more upfront.

Am I the only one who's bought two of those cheap metal sheds before finally learning my lesson?
