Metal vs. plastic shed for my tools in Portland
I spent a month going back and forth between a metal and a plastic shed for my garden tools. Ended up going with plastic because the metal one started rusting at the display model after just one rainy season. Has anyone here dealt with rust issues on a metal shed in a damp climate?

Have you considered that the display model might've been sitting outside for years before you even saw it? Most metal sheds have a pretty decent coating that holds up if you keep up with it, but Portland rain is no joke. I know someone who got a metal one and had rust spots on the screws and corners within two winters because they didn't seal the bolt holes. Plastic is definitely lower maintenance, especially if you don't want to be out there with a paintbrush every other year. Did you anchor yours down good, or is it just sitting on the ground?

Ngl, you made the right call for Portland. @abby_morgan18 is spot on about those bolt holes being a weak point. I'd rather not deal with touch ups every year either.
