My neighbor in Phoenix said he just throws his patio cushions in the shed all winter.

I heard him telling another guy at the mailboxes that it's fine because it's a 'dry heat' out here. That's a fast way to ruin a $200 set with mold and sun rot, even in Arizona. I keep mine in a sealed deck box with a couple of those big silica gel packs. Anyone else in a hot climate have a better system for keeping cushions safe?

Yeah that's kinda the thing with modern life honestly, we all think a certain climate means we can skip the basic maintenance steps. I've seen people with really expensive patio sets think a quick cover is enough and then wonder why they're shopping again in 18 months.

Forget the shed, that sun will bake them to dust.

My buddy left his camping gear in a plastic bin outside last summer, total meltdown. @colethomas is right, that sun is no joke. Looked like a modern art sculpture by August.
