Pro tip: two plastic totes stacked on a pallet beat my fancy $60 storage bin
Last spring I had about 40 lbs of pool salt and a bag of grass seed sitting in the garage, so I figured it was time to buy a heavy duty deck box for the shed. I grabbed two 27 gallon totes from the hardware store for $22 total and sat them on a scrap pallet I had leftover, and 8 months later the salt is still dry while my brother's $60 bin in Des Moines has water sitting in the lid. Has anyone else found a cheap setup that outlasts the expensive one?
