Resin shed vs metal shed, my aluminum one caved after 2 Kansas snows

I bought a metal shed from a big box store back in March for $450, figured metal would outlast anything. After the first winter the roof panel bent under snow load, and the second one pulled the door track right off the frame. My neighbor has a cheap resin one from Lowe's that's been through 5 winters without a scratch, and I finally understand why people pay the extra $200. Anyone else ditched metal for resin or plastic after a bad storm?

Read a review online from some guy in Minnesota who said the same thing, his metal shed looked like a crushed soda can after one winter. The resin ones flex with the snow instead of fighting it, seems like the smarter design for places that actually get storms. Guess my next shed will be plastic, even if it feels weird to pay more for it.
