Tried a resin shed vs a metal one for my backyard tools

I had to pick between a resin shed and a metal one for storing my lawn gear in Austin. The resin one was $400 and the metal one was $350, but the metal one had rust issues after just one rainy season. I went with the resin option and it held up fine through three summers now, no warping or fading. Only downside is the floor feels a bit flimsy when I put my heavy mower inside. Anyone else find that resin sheds need a plywood floor added to handle weight?

Same issue here, threw down some cheap plywood and it fixed everything.

That cheap plywood fix never lasts, @ramirez.vera. I've seen it warp and buckle after a few months of moisture, so you're just masking the real problem.

Use treated 3/4 inch plywood instead of the cheap stuff, that's what I did and it's been solid for two years now. The resin itself is fine but the stock floor is basically thick cardboard, I don't know why they even bother. @shanec61 mentioned moisture causing problems, and he's right about cheap wood failing, but treated plywood with a good coat of garage floor paint on the bottom side handles it way better. You also gotta make sure the shed is sitting on a level surface with good drainage underneath, mine was on gravel and that helped a ton with any moisture wicking up. The metal one I had before rusted out near the bottom in places I couldn't even see until the whole corner flaked away. So yeah, put in the extra work on the floor prep and those resin sheds will last you a decade easy.
