I finally caught the receipt mistake at the diner in Toledo before I paid $43 for a $24 breakfast
I was at a diner off I-75 in Toledo on Sunday and the total came to $43 for two eggs and coffee. I asked the server to break it down and she had charged me for three plates instead of one, plus a soda I never ordered. I showed her the menu prices and we fixed it down to $24, but only because I did the math in my head on the back of a napkin. My buddy never checks his slip and would have just paid it. How often do you actually add up the line items before you tap your card?
