I guessed the jellybeans in a jar at my niece's school fair and got within 4 of the real number
The jar was sitting on the cake walk table at Lincoln Elementary last Saturday and the sign said guess the count for a $5 prize. I did the thing where you count the beans along the bottom row and the side row, then multiply, and I got 412. I wrote 410 on the slip mostly as a joke because my sister said nobody ever gets close. They called me two days later and the real count was 414, so I won a five dollar gift card to the ice cream place. Now I want to know if that multiplying trick actually works or if I just got lucky, because I have no idea how to check it.
