So I get my propane bill in November and it says I used 12,000 gallons in one month. My tank only holds 500. I called the company in Twin Falls and the lady said the math was fine, so I sat there with a calculator and a photo of my gauge and worked it out unit by unit until I proved they typed in an extra zero somewhere. It took me 2 hours and 47 minutes to win an argument over 10,000 imaginary gallons. Has anyone else had a utility company push back on basic math like this?
Oh man, I feel this in my soul. We had a water bill show up saying we used 45,000 gallons in one cycle and our whole neighborhood only has a few families on that line. I called and the guy told me maybe I had a leak, so I went out and read the meter myself at like 6am before work and sent them photos with the numbers circled in red. They still made me wait three days before they would even look at it, and then acted like they were doing me a favor by fixing it.
