My kid's lemonade stand math beat my grocery store math by $34 in one afternoon
My daughter set up a lemonade stand last Saturday in our driveway and I figured we'd lose money on ice and cups. Turns out she made $52 in three hours because she charged 75 cents a cup instead of a dollar, and people kept handing her fives and saying keep the change. I did the math after and we spent $18 on supplies, so she cleared $34 while I spent $41 at the grocery store for the same stuff plus a bunch of junk we didn't need. She just counted cups and quarters on a notepad and beat my whole budget system. Anyone else get out-mathed by a seven year old with a folding table?
