Rant: my bar tab math said we were $43 short, so I counted the drawer by hand at 2am
I was closing up the dive bar on 6th in Austin and the register kept disagreeing with my tip-out sheet, so I re-added every credit slip on a napkin instead of trusting the machine. Turned out one guy wrote his tip small and I read an 8 as a 3, has anyone else had to recount a whole night because of one sloppy number?

Reading an 8 as a 3 on a sloppy slip is the worst... did the machine actually match once you fixed that one number, or was the drawer still off somewhere else?
