Rant: my 'quick' 15 minute tire rotation turned into 4 hours and 3 trips to the parts store
The lug nut that snapped off my 2012 Civic on a Saturday in Toledo led me to discover the shop that did my brakes had cross threaded it and just hammered it back on, so what should have been an easy job ended with me borrowing a neighbor's impact wrench at 9pm and wondering if anyone else has ever found out a mechanic quietly wrecked their car months ago.
Did the shop ever admit what they did, or did you just eat the cost of fixing their mistake yourself? Because that kind of lazy work is exactly why I started asking to see the old parts whenever someone touches my car. It's wild how one guy rushing a job can cost you a whole Saturday months later.
