That one customer who corrected my unit conversion changed how I do estimates
Back in 2017 I was quoting a fence job near Eugene and told a client it'd be 1,200 feet of material. They just said, 'You mean linear feet, right?' and I froze because I'd been mixing up board feet and linear feet for months. It cost me a redo on a small shed before that, but after their comment I started writing the unit down on every single work order. Anyone else have a dumb unit mistake that only got caught by a customer?
