The $18 calculator I bought just to win a bar bet
Last month I paid $18 for a scientific calculator to prove a guy wrong about 0.999... equaling 1. It showed him the decimal point and he still argued for 20 minutes. Has anyone else dropped cash on a math tool just to end a pointless argument?

Waste twenty bucks proving a stubborn guy wrong... worth every penny though.
