My buddy swore by his 1998 Ford Ranger for hauling jobs, I used a $450 utility trailer instead
We both had to move 2 tons of tile from a supplier in Tacoma last month, and he kept insisting a truck bed was all you needed while I rented the trailer. The truck sat fine, but one load bent his tailgate hinges and we spent an hour tying down loose boxes, the trailer just handled everything in two trips without a scratch. Is there actually a case where a pickup beats a decent trailer for this kind of work, or is that just loyalty talking?

Watched my brother do the same thing with his F150, bent the gate and still had to make two runs because of weight limits. Trailers just make more sense when you're hauling heavy stuff, no question.
