I finally called out a YouTube conspiracy video about sandwiches

So I was scrolling YouTube last weekend and found this guy with 50k subscribers claiming that Subway uses special bread that's 'engineered to make you crave more.' He had a whole 20 minute breakdown with graphs and everything lol. I actually work at a Subway in Portland and I can tell you the bread comes frozen in a box, nothing special about it. Has anyone else caught a super specific bad take like that where you just happen to know the truth?

And the WHOLE thing falls apart when you think about it for TWO seconds. If Subway bread was actually engineered to be addictive, don't you think they'd make it TASTE GOOD? That stuff is basically flavored cardboard with a sprinkle of sawdust texture. I've eaten there after a night shift and it's like chewing on a sponge that's been sitting in a damp basement. The REAL conspiracy is how they keep getting people to pay ten bucks for that sad little sandwich when you could just go to a local deli and get something that actually has flavor. Like, maybe focus on the fact that the meat is basically pressed together scraps instead of worrying about the bread. People see a graph and suddenly it's a FACT.

Right? I'm with you on that... the bread thing is weird but honestly I'm more worried about what they call "meat" than the bread part. The whole graph argument feels like they're trying too hard to prove something that just doesn't hold up.

Cannot believe people are actually defending that pressed "meat" like it's a real food product. That stuff looks like it was formed in a science lab rather than coming from an actual animal. Gotta agree, the bread is the least of their worries when they're serving up what basically amounts to shapes of mystery meat.
