My air fryer manual sat in the drawer for 9 months before I actually read it

I got one of those big dual-zone air fryers for Christmas and just used the preset buttons. Last week my brother came over and asked why I never flip the food halfway. I had no clue what he meant. He pulled out the manual and showed me the 'shake reminder' feature I'd been ignoring. It turns out I was cooking everything like a sad little toaster oven. Now I'm wondering what other appliance secrets I'm missing. Anyone else discover a basic function after owning something for way too long?

My buddy used his microwave's potato button for 2 years before realizing it existed.
