TIL that viral tweet about 5G towers causing birds to fall from the sky was completely made up by a parody account.
I was at my cousin's BBQ last Saturday ranting about cell towers until my buddy pulled up the fact-check on his phone and I just stood there with my tongs in the air looking like a fool, has anyone else gotten burned by a fake take like that?

Oh man I feel your pain @emma_garcia (though I get you have real points about the science stuff too). I once spent a whole dinner arguing that the moon landing was faked until my uncle pulled up NASA footage on his iPad and I just sat there eating my mashed potatoes in silence.

I get what you're saying but I actually think there is some real science worth talking about with 5G and wildlife even if that specific bird tweet was fake. The parody account thing is just a distraction from legitimate concerns about electromagnetic radiation.
