Unpopular take: watching a 4-hour YouTube 'debunk' video changed my mind on 5G conspiracies

I saw a viral clip last Tuesday of some guy claiming 5G towers cause birds to drop dead. I rolled my eyes, but then I actually watched the full 47-minute breakdown from a local news channel in Columbus. They showed the original video was filmed near a window cleaner's platform, and the birds were just stunned from hitting glass. I did my own 2-day check around my neighborhood and counted zero dead birds near the new tower. The lesson I learned: some so-called 'bad takes' are just lazy editing, not lies. Has anyone else had a hot take fall apart once they saw the raw footage?

Well, that's exactly right, @olivia_lopez98, and I remember a few years back some folks in my town were convinced a new building was causing "earthquakes" until someone noticed it was just the HVAC unit vibrating through the ground. Same thing happened with a viral video of a "haunted" streetlight, turned out to be a loose wire and a guy on a ladder, not a ghost at all. It's always the boring, practical answer that wins, and it's nice to see people actually putting in the legwork instead of running with the wild story.
