Rant: The 'Lost' finale was high art and I'm tired of pretending it flopped at my watch party
I staged a full series rewatch for 6 friends last month and lost 14 hours of sleep defending the island's light cave to a guy who still thinks the polar bears were a plot hole. Has anyone else actually appreciated the ending once you stop expecting every mystery to get a bow on it?

People do this with everything, not just TV. Cars break down and they blame the mechanic instead of admitting the part was always junk. Relationships fall apart and they call it a "plot hole" when the real answer is two people just stopped trying. We're so hooked on tidy endings in real life that we can't handle stories that leave wet paint on the wall. The polar bears were never the point, same way the leaky faucet ain't the reason the house feels wrong. Some folks would rather scream at the fog than walk through it.
