Hit 50 perfect macaron batches in a row by controlling my kitchen humidity with a cheap dehumidifier
After 18 failed batches where they all cracked or had no feet, I got a $40 dehumidifier and ran it for an hour before piping, and that milestone of 50 perfect ones in a row made me realize my oven wasn't the problem, it was the moisture in the air, has anyone else found a weird environment fix that changed their baking?

Bought a $60 smart humidifier thinking I was hot stuff and ended up fogging my kitchen like a nightclub for three straight days before I realized humidifier and dehumidifier are not the same thing

Same thing happened to @spencer_gonzalez1's neighbor... throwing that dehumidifier straight in the trash after that mistake.

Wait you ran a HUMIDIFIER for three days straight thinking it was a dehumidifier? That is one of the FUNNIEST baking disasters I have ever heard - I'm sitting here laughing at my phone. The visual of a fogged up kitchen with sad soggy macaron shells is genuinely killing me right now.
