My sourdough starter met my landlord's cat and 3 hours later I was scrubbing the ceiling
Last Tuesday I left my proofing basket on the counter to rise while I ran to grab coffee, and my landlord stopped by to fix a leaky tap. He brought his cat, Misty, who jumped up, knocked the basket over, and then walked through the dough before sprinting around the whole kitchen. Flour and sticky dough ended up on the ceiling, the blinds, and even the top of the fridge, and I spent the next 3 hours chasing cat prints with a sponge. He just laughed and said, "Well, at least the cat has good taste in carbs," while I stood there holding a dough-covered whisk. Has anyone else had a pet or visitor ruin a bake in a way that still makes you laugh, or did I win the weirdest kitchen disaster award? lol
