Silicone mats are great, but @miaw50 is right, they do change how cookies spread.

Switched to silicone mats last year and it's been a game changer... my cookies slide right off without sticking. They clean up with just a quick rinse, which is so easy. I've stopped buying parchment paper almost completely, cutting down on trash. Using them for pastries and rolls works great too. It's one of the best kitchen buys I've made.
