I thought those $40 hot towel cabinets were just for show

My old boss in Tampa got one for the shop and I rolled my eyes, thinking it was a waste of money. After using it for a month on every straight razor shave, I saw way fewer complaints about razor burn. The steam really does soften the beard better than a regular towel. So, is it a real tool or just a fancy gimmick to charge more?

Totally a real tool. My barber has one and it makes a huge difference. Skin feels way better after.

My barber tried to sell me one for fifty bucks last week. I'm pretty sure my washcloth and hot water do the same job for free. Some tools are just fancy solutions to problems we made up.

Ever try a hot towel at a real barber shop? That steamy cloth feels amazing (way better than a washcloth at home). Some things are worth paying for, you know?
