My clipper blade got stuck mid haircut last Friday and I almost lost a customer

I was doing a skin fade on this regular of mine, and right in the middle of the zero gap work, my Andis blade just locked up. Made this horrible grinding noise and stopped cutting clean. Turns out I had been skipping my blade oil routine for like two weeks because I was busy. Had to finish the cut with a different clipper and the blend came out uneven. I felt so bad I knocked $10 off the price. Now I just keep a little dropper bottle in my apron pocket so I oil after every head. Any of you guys had a clipper die on you mid cut? What did you do to fix it fast?

Barber supply shop told me once that heat buildup from dry blades is what causes most sudden lockups, and it makes sense since oil works as both lubricant and coolant. Having that dropper bottle in your apron is a good habit to get into.
