I mean, corded clippers are a total lifesaver in those moments. The cord is annoying but at least you know they'll work every single time. Never going fully cordless is the move for real.
Watched my buddy try to give his kid a haircut with a dead trimmer. He had to plug in the old corded monster, and the cord kept getting tangled in the kid's booster seat. Kid looked like a patchy lawn by the end, and my friend was sweating more than the kid was crying.
