Overheard a client in my chair say 'a good haircut is just a good haircut, it's all the same' and I had to bite my tongue.

The real problem is that people don't see the skill in fixing a bad shape. It's not just making hair shorter, it's fixing angles someone else messed up. A good cut starts from a good foundation, but a great cut often starts from a disaster. That client would change their tune if they saw the before and after of a real correction.

Man, some of the corrections I've seen are brutal. Like trying to make a sculpture out of a pancake. Hats off to anyone who fixes those messes.
