PSA: My cordless clipper battery died mid-fade on a client yesterday
I was halfway through a skin fade in Tucson and the blade just stopped moving. Had to finish with my old corded Oster while the client sat there waiting. Anyone else keep a backup pair handy for emergencies?

Nah I actually ditched my backup corded clippers years ago. If my wireless dies I just tell the client to hang tight for 30 seconds while I swap batteries. I keep three batteries on the charger and rotate them so I never get caught. Corded stuff just gets in the way and limits your movement especially on a skin fade where you need to chase the light.

Did your buddy ever get stuck in a situation like that? My friend Carlos was cutting his neighbor's hair in his garage and his cordless trimmer just died right when he was lining up the sideburns. He ended up using a pair of kitchen scissors to finish the job because it was the only thing sharp enough he could find! The neighbor still came out looking okay but definitely not the cleanest fade I've ever seen.

Read a barber saying kitchen shears actually work better for detail work than people think.
