Spent all Saturday cutting a 6 year old's birthday party headcount

Tbh my Saturday was one of those days where everything lined up weird. I had a mom book her son's 6th birthday party haircuts, showed up with 7 kids but only 4 wanted cuts. The other 3 just wanted to sit in the chair and spray water bottles at the mirror. I ended up spending 20 minutes just cleaning hair off the floor because one kid found my clipper case and dumped every guard out. Then a walk-in came in with his dog, and the dog sat in the guest chair the whole time like he was next. By the time his haircut was done, the birthday mom tipped me $40 extra for dealing with the chaos. Has anyone else had a kid's party haircut session turn into pure babysitting, or was it just my lucky day?

Man, my buddy had the same thing happen at his shop. Some kid's party turned into him cutting 3 kids while the other 4 destroyed his cape collection.

That's hilarious, the dog sitting there like he's next in line. I had a birthday party once where the mom brought 5 kids but only 2 actually got cuts, the rest just wanted to play with the cape and spin the chair around until I thought someone was gonna puke. Ended up chasing one kid around the shop with scissors in my hand, which probably looked real bad from the street. The mom tipped me with a 6 pack and I called it even. Your dog situation beats mine though, I would've just let the mutt take a seat and started buzzing him for the laugh.
