Switched from shears to clippers for bald fades 2 years ago

Used to take 45 minutes with shears on a bald fade and still leave lines. Switched to clippers with a .5 guard and a trimmer, now I'm done in 20 minutes clean. Anyone else make that switch and never look back?

Disagree with comparing a knife to clippers. Knife is a one-trick tool. Clippers replace an entire skill set. Shears take real hand control, finger work, feel for the hair. Clippers are just following a line. You traded craft for speed. Nobody learns to cut hair well starting with clippers.

Funny how that pattern shows up everywhere, not just barbering. Once you find the right tool for a job, you wonder why you ever struggled with the old way. Same thing happened when I stopped using a bulky multi-tool and just carried a decent folding knife for daily stuff.
