That fake line fade pattern is taking over my chair

Three times this month, young guys sit down and ask for a fade that goes straight back to skin at the parietal ridge with zero blend. They saw it on some social clip and think it looks sharp, but it leaves a visible ledge that only looks good for a day. I tried to warn one kid in Austin, but he insisted, so I followed his request and now he's upset the growth pattern looks choppy. Is this a regional thing or are y'all seeing the same exact request copy-pasted from the same video?
