The disposable cape trend in my neighborhood has me scratching my head

Every shop here is throwing away capes after each cut. I disagree because it adds up in cost and trash. Is it really better for keeping things clean?

Why exactly is it wasteful, @hayden_mason?

People forget the plastic is made from oil in the first place. Every single-use cape uses up resources just to exist for five minutes. That's a huge hidden cost before it even hits the landfill. Reusable ones, if washed right, cut that down massively. The real waste is burning fuel to make something we throw away instantly.

At the barber on Main Street, they use a fresh cape for every single customer. That's so much plastic going to landfills, but is it even more sanitary than washing a reusable one?
