Tried a hot towel warmer for 6 weeks, my regulars started asking what changed

I grabbed a cheap towel warmer off a supply site for $45 back in March and started wrapping every shave with a hot towel before the straight razor came out. Six of my regulars asked why the shaves felt smoother, and one guy tipped me $15 extra without saying a word. Is anyone else running a warmer, or am I just late to something everybody already does?
