Walked into the old barber college on 5th in Canton and the chairs said it all
Stopped by the barber college on 5th in Canton last month where I got my first haircut back in 1998, and the old Belmont chairs are gone, replaced with plastic ones bolted to the floor. The instructor there told me they went through 14 chairs in 3 years because students keep dropping them. Kind of miss the heavy steel and the smell of that place, but the kid getting his first fade looked just as nervous as I did back then. Anyone else been back to where they learned the trade and barely recognized it?

Noticed this everywhere lately, the sturdy stuff we grew up with keeps getting swapped for cheap plastic.
