Wasted $200 on a clipper sharpening service last month
I sent my favorite Andis Masters to a mail-in sharpening place I found online and they came back duller than before. The company ghosted me when I tried to complain and now I'm stuck using backups that don't cut as clean. Has anyone here found a reliable sharpener or do you all just replace blades when they go bad?

My buddy Chris tried one of those mail-in services last year for his Wahl Seniors and had the same exact problem. He sent them off with a $150 payment and they came back so bad he couldnt even get through a full cut without the blades pulling hair. He called like five times and left messages with no callback at all. Eventually he found a local barber supply shop that does sharpening in house for like $25 a blade, and they actually test them in front of you before you leave. Maybe check if there's a barber supply store near you that does walk-in sharpening, because those mail-in places seem like a total scam half the time.

Man, it's crazy how that kind of thing happens more and more now. Feels like a lot of businesses just count on you giving up and moving on instead of actually fixing the problem. Makes you wonder if taking your time to find someone local is always worth the hassle in the long run.
