Watched a guy at the Bayside Barber Expo in Tampa fix a fading issue with one simple change
I was at the Bayside Barber Expo in Tampa back in March and this old timer named Sal was doing a demo on fades. He stopped halfway through and said most guys mess up because they keep going back over the same spot with the clipper instead of switching to a smaller guard and blending upward. I tried it on my next 5 clients and the lines came out way cleaner with less work. Anyone else pick up a trick at a show that actually stuck?
Did Sal actually say to blend upward with a smaller guard, or was it more about not going over the same spot twice? The smaller guard part is what gets me, since going up in guard size is usually how you blend.
