DAE weigh the 'fair use' clip length thing, my buddy got hit over 11 seconds of a ballgame
My buddy put 11 seconds of a Fresno Grizzlies game on his podcast and got a takedown notice 3 weeks later, so I say the whole 'under 10 seconds is safe' rule is a myth. But he swears the real hack is only using clips where the announcer is just reading a promo, since that stuff isn't the 'heart' of the broadcast. One side says any clip is fair use if you're commenting on it, the other says length and market harm decide it no matter what. Where do you all land on short sports clips, is there a number that actually holds up?
